Health Reproduction

Reproductive health is one of the most looked after issues for any country. STIs that is, Strategy for the Prevention and Control of Sexually Transmitted Infection, is a programme, which has been started by the World Health Assambely (WHA). It is a global strategy for the countries to improve and spread their STIs programme, and make sure that these are executed well and linked with the health productive services, like family planning, HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases, their prevention and care, mother and baby’s health. Growing number of HIV and STD patients, is matter of grave concern, so the governments of the respective countries are trying their best to promot the health reproduction awareness programmes. Day by day increasing number of the population, needs an immediate check. Counselling, free distribution of condoms, free operations of sterlity, health planning centers are openning everyday. Miscarriages due to malnutrition, teenage pegnancies, abortions, deaths due to child birth complicacies, sexually transmitted diseases, breast and cervical cancer, all are spreading like fire. People are not educated enough to understand the gravity of the matter. Lack of sex education, non-availibilty of contraceptives, no proper guidenss for the kids, family’s aloofness and no-understanding between the partners are the main reason behind this. First and the most important thing is to provide the better sex education in schools. Kids are exposed to, too many temptations, sex is one of them. It is desired but not expected that they will stop having sex. They are having it anyway. So it is our duty to tell them about the safe sex and protected sex. Girls who are supposed to give birth, are poorly fed and anamic. This is the main cause of the complicacy during child birth. this is what kills them and the baby. Social serveys give the number in millions. Screening for cancers, like breast and pelvic should be provided free or on very nominal charges to the common man. Contraceptives, specialy pills and condoms should be given in schools and factories and other work places. People should not hesitate to buy condoms. Using a condom before every sexual act is a saver of their lives, specialy if the user is in multiple relationship. Parents should be more open to their kids, and adults must be aware of the choices they can make, be it a right contraceptive, or whatever method they feel comfortable with. Proper care of the pregnant woman or the new born baby is needed. These small but significant steps can definitely save them from lots of trouble and hassel. By: Saurabh Sharma
