Youth doesn't have to end at a certain age.
While it's not possible to rewind the years, treating your body well, stimulating your mind and maintaining a positive attitude all make a difference in how young you look and feel.
The following tips will help you look and feel young:
* Eat foods rich in antioxidants. According to the American Dietetic Association, foods such as fruits and vegetables give you the antioxidants that you need to prevent damage to cells from oxidation, which may contribute to aging. Antioxidants also increase function in your immune system and decrease your risk of infection and cancer.
* Try a supplement. Studies show that some supplements can help your body relieve itself of symptoms of aging, such as lack of energy, a weakened immune system and poor muscle/fat balance.
One such supplement is
Revive, from the "Spray" line of sublingual sprays. This product line was developed by doctors and meets all Food and Drug Administration guidelines for good manufacturing practices.
* Get in shape. Exercising can help prevent or delay diseases like diabetes and heart disease, says the National Institute on Aging. Staying active also helps you stay independent by boosting endurance, strength, balance and flexibility. Experts suggest you exercise for 30 minutes for most days of the week.
* Become pet-friendly. Pets are good for both emotional and physical health. According to the Humane Society of the United States, a companion animal can provide a sense of purpose. Walking, grooming or simply petting a pet can increase physical activity.
* Get a sufficient amount of sleep. Experts at AARP say that adults need about eight hours of sleep every night. Lack of sleep can weaken your immune system and increase your risk of accidents, such as falling or getting into a car crash.
