Voice123, the largest online marketplace for voice over jobs recently announced the addition of a larger number of categories for voiceover types on their website. This new addition aims at making a voiceover artist’s profile more broad based, at the same time giving project owners a chance to upload a greater variety of projects on the website.
The new categories of voiceover types that have been added to the existing categories on Voice123 are: movie trailers, adult content recordings, On-camera recordings and infomercials, live announcers, and spokespeople.
With the addition of these five voice over categories, voice talents have a total of 11 categories to choose from. Depending upon their skills, abilities and willingness to do these kinds of voiceovers, a voice over artist can select specific options to be displayed in their profile.
For example, if a voice-over talent chooses to add adult content recordings on to their profile, it means that they have the willingness and the capability to carry out a voice over job in that category. Selecting any type of recording is based in the discretion of the artist. The website does not encourage any member to sign up for categories unless they are very comfortable with the kind of work each category has to offer.
These new additions will help Voice123 and service buyers to effectively match profiles of voice-over artists with projects posted on the website. While using the Talent Search feature on the website as well, a voice seeker can look for specific voiceover profiles with the newly added categories which match his project requirements. This will help in expanding the possibilities of more project options for both voice talent and voiceover seeker.

To add on any of the newly added categories for voice-overs, all a subscriber needs to do is sign into their account and go to the ‘My Profile’ page. Under this section, a voice talent can access his/her ‘My Voice Details’ sub-section where all the new categories are displayed along with the older categories. If a voice talent is certain about his/her ability to handle a voiceover project in any of the new categories, they can add those categories on to their profile by clicking the corresponding checkboxes. This will enable them to get any project notifications under the chosen categories.
